INVITATION FOR BIDS

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF MOBILITY TRAVEL SERVICES (APP BASED) AT THE ARRIVAL OUTER PORCH (END OF TOURIST EXIT PATH) AREA AT THE BANDARANAIKE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BIA), KATUNAYAKE

TENDER NO.: 043/T/2024

Bids are invited from Registered Companies, Establishments, Individuals and relevant Service Providers for the Establishment and Operation of Mobility Travel Services (App Based) at Arrival Outer Porch (End of Tourist Exit Path) Area of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake for a period of three (03) years.  Two (02) Spaces at the Arrival Outer Porch (End of Tourist Exit Path) Area at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake are on Bid and prospective Bidders may Bid for one or both Spaces. However, a particular Bidder shall be permitted/awarded to operate only one space.

Terms and conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the Bidding documents. Bidding documents can be purchased on working days from 10th April 2024 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. up to           07th May 2024 from the office of Commercial &Properties Division, Room No.31, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake on payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs.26,000.00 per set in cash by producing a request letter on a Company letter-head of the Bidder. The Bidding Document could also be purchased from the website of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited [AASL] www.airport.lk by making a non-refundable fee of Rs.26,000.00 through online payment. The Bidding Document will be available for inspection, free of charge at the office of Head of Commercial & Properties of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake.

Bids should be made only on Bidding Form issued by the Company and should accompany a Bid Bond to the value of Rs.1,400,000.00 in Cash or in the Form of a Bank Draft or Bank Guarantee issued by a reputed Commercial Bank or a licensed specialized Bank operating in Sri Lanka and approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, valid for 150 days from the date of opening Bids. 

A Pre-Bid briefing followed by a visit to the location will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. on 24th April 2024at Commercial & Properties Division, 2nd Floor of the Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the pre-bid meeting. Sealed bids shall be address to the Chairman, Tender Board No.1 and send by registered post to the Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake or should be deposited in the Tender Box placed at the office of Supply Chain Management Division labeled as Tender Board No. 1, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Bids will be closed at 2.00 p.m. on 08th May 2024 and opened and read publicly thereafter at the office of Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Any Bid received after the stipulated time of Bid closing will be rejected unopened. Bidders or their duly authorized representatives shall be present at the time of opening Bids.
